Today Latvia Started to Mint its New Euro Coins

The Governor of the Central Bank of Latvia, today switched on the minting machine to start producing the new Latvian euro coins. The coins are being minted at Stuttgart mint and in Karlsruhe, Germany. Latvia will adopt the euro on 1st January 2014, the exchange rate will be €1 = LVL 0.702804 or €1.42 = LVL 1. Starter kits will be available from 10th December 2013.

Looking forward to these coins. In my view, Latvian Euro coins are amongst the most beautiful ones.
