Portugal Euro Coins 2012 "Guimaraes European Capital of Culture" €2 Commemorative Coin

Today Portugal published its numismatic programme for 2012 (see source). In this publication it has revealed the design that will be depicted on the 2 euro commemorative coin that will commemorate Guimaraes as the European Capital of Culture. Like last year, Portugal will mint only 520,000 coins; 500,000 will be available in rolls, 10,000 BU coins in a wallet (see image) and another 10,000 proof coins in a wallet too. This coin is expected to be out in June 2012.

Yes, it was issued today.


Very limited quantity per person (only 1 roll per person), cahotic enviromnent outside Central Bank.
