Euro Banknotes from Malta found in Circulation

According to the eurobilltracker.eu website around 3 notes having their serial code starting with the F letter (Malta) have been found. The first note was keyed on the 11th February and was found in Spain. Few months ago we announced the appearance of the ‘Cypriot’ banknotes - thus now the only euro area country with no ‘banknotes of its own’ is Slovakia,

28 February 2010 - According to the eurobilltracker.eu website around 50 notes having their serial code starting with the F letter (Malta) have been found. The first note was keyed on the 11th February and was found in Spain, since then tens of notes were found, most of them in Belgium. Few months ago we announced the appearance of the ‘Cypriot’ banknotes - thus now the only euro area countries with no ‘banknotes of their own’ are Luxembourg and Slovakia,
