Malta 2010 - €2 Commemorative Coin

The central bank of Malta will issue a €2 commemorative coin next year. The theme is not yet announced, however, the Euro Coins collection network had a look at the special events that will happen in Malta next year and found out that Malta will celebrate the 1950 Anniversary since the Shipwreck of Saint Paul in Malta – St Paul is the founder of Catholic Church in Malta so in other words Malta will be celebrating 1950 Years of Christianity (in Maltese - 1950 Sena ta' Kristjanzemu). For these celebrations his holiness Pope Benedict XV1 will visit Malta for 2 days.
