On the 28th November 2011, the Central Bank of Malta besides the rolls of the 2 euro commemorative coin 2011 will also issue coins in proof version. The coins will be presented in a box. The bank didn't yet reveal how many coins were minted in proof.

Here find an image of the certificate that is given with the proof coin. The certificate confirms that the issuance volume of the proof coin is 5,000 and that they were minted at the Royal Dutch Mint. We have also noticed that the certificate contains a mistake, it says that Malta was granted a construction instead of constitution - we have circled this in red

well this was a good year for Malta
Malta minted the first standard coins after those of 2008 (euro changeover)
Malta issued the first national 2 euro commemorative coin and proof coin
interesting!!!
Hi
i have seen 2 proof coins - one was okay and the other one was like you said
i just received the proof coins today and i noticed that hole for the coin in the case is quite big for the 2 euro coin so the coin moves around and don't stuck in its hole
is it the same to everybody?
It's a disgrace
i cannot understand why all these mistakes from the Central Bank of Malta
the BU set certificate had mistake - it was revised and the 2nd version is still with mistakes
now same thing with the proof
The surname of the designer of the 'common' side is also written incorrectly: LUYCKX instead of LUYCX. Stupid errors which should not have been allowed to slip ...
When Malta will do reconstruction?
