Italy Euro Coins 2013 "200th Anniversary since the Birth of Giuseppe Verdi" €2 Commemorative Coin

Italy Euro Coins - According to the Forum, Italy this year will issue two editions of the 2 euro commemorative coins, the first coin will be dedicated to the "700 Years since the Birth of Giovanni Boccaccio" as was announced earlier. This coin was also confirmed in the catalog issued for the World Money Fair.

The second coin will be dedicated to "200th years since the birth of Giuseppe Verdi". He was an Italian Romantic composer, mainly of opera. Some of his themes have long since taken root in popular culture – such as "La donna è mobile" from Rigoletto, "Va, pensiero" (The Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves) from Nabucco, "Libiamo ne' lieti calici" (The Drinking Song) from La traviata and the "Grand March" from Aida.
