Recently a medal was issued on the subject of Plato's academy in Greece.

The design appears to reflect same simple and plain image.

Could be this a relection on forthcoming design?

I do not think so. At least Greece has shown in the past that the designs of its 2 euro coins are very well designed.

No way these designs are original. I consider the Greek coins so far to be perhaps the most well designed in the eurozone. These two images are just disappointing.

I hope that they are not the official ones because they look like were done in 1 minute - however they look like the same style as the Franco-German 50 years of friendship 2 euro

99% these images are not the original ones, its just some images created by German sellers,I hope too not to be the original ones :) Especially for the Platon's Academy I expect to see something good!!!

I have been given these two images as the coins likely to be issued.
