Thanks for the info!

I had a problem with entering my address though. The site was always attempting to "standardize" my address by removing the house number, subsequently throwing an error about a missing house number! Had to order through email, got a polite response that my order had been processed successfully.

So in that formulae:
Geburtsdatum means date of birth
Straße, Haus-Nr. means Road, house NR. (is the number of the house)
PLZ, Ort means Postal/Zip code, place/city

yes it must be the house number
haus-nr sounds very similar to house number

what is ? it's not the number of the house in the street !!!
