Description: The inner part of the coin features the emblem of Queen Elisabeth Competition on the effigy of Queen Elizabeth, in left profile, flanked by the Mintmaster mark at the left and the mint mark at the right, the latter representing a helmeted head of the Archangel Michael. On top of the effigy the years 1937-2012 and below the inscription "QUEEN ELISABETH COMPETITION." At the right hand side of the effigy the indication of the issuing country "BE". I THINK IT'S NOT A BAD COIN.OF COURSE THE CHOSEN DESIGN OF Q.ELIZABETH DOES NOT HONOUR BELGIUM.THEY DID NOT HAD ANY OTHER DESIGN OF THEIR HISTORY OR TRADITION TO PUT ON COIN?BUT FROM OTHER POINT OF VIEW, FOR EXAMBLE WHY MALTA CC 2011 SHOULD BE BETTER COIN THAN THIS? OK IT'S RARE BUT THE DESIGN OF BEL CC 2012 IT'S MUCH BETTER THAN OTHER CC FROM ALL THESE YEARS AND COUNTRIES.

I LIKE IT.I BELIEVE THAT EVERY COIN IT'S UNIQUE WITH IT'S FAVOR.

Countries with multiple languages have their own problem.

That was the reason for Belgian TYE coin being left with "BE" whereas all others had their full name.

We were without govt. for 541 days because of the language related issue too.

None of the designs could do away with the name of the competition which the coin celebrates.

Human creativity has its own limitations.

I don't like English on a Belgian coin either, but otherwise the design is not too bad.
