Checked the results 3 days before the poll closes on May 5th. With 7800 votes, No. 5 is a winner, but No. 3 is a close second. Apparently one of the two will be chosen for the final design, if the jury are to consider the popular vote results. My preference is No. 5, but No. 3 is not that bad either.

Nr 3

I voted for the second. I like the fourth one too, because it is simple, but I am afraid the coin with that design would be boring.

I like No. 5, the one with a snowman. I think it will look very attractive and innovative on the actual minted coin.

The coin is divided into 4 sections by a compass rose, in the middle the abbreviation "BE" for Belgium. Each section represents a different element of the weather; snowflake for snow, wind measurement instrument and wind force symbol for wind, cloud with a thunder and rain droplets for storms and sun for sunny weather. The dates 1913-2013 indicate the 100 years since the opening of the Royal Meteorological Office with the abbreviations "IRM" and "KMI" in French and Dutch, respectively
