According to some euro blogs, France next year will issue a 2 euro commemorative dedicated to the 150th Anniversary since the birth of Pierre de Coubertin. This coin will be in the addition to the one that will be jointly issued with Germany.
Pierre de Frédy, Baron de Coubertin was a French educationalist and historian, founder of the International Olympic Committee, and is considered the father of the modern Olympic Games. Born into a French aristocratic family, he became an academic and studied a broad range of topics, most notably education and history.
27 January 2013 - Just came across a video from the Pessac Mint in France that is probably showing the making of the 2 euro commemorative coin "Pierre de Coubertin":
