Bulgaria to Join ERMII

Bulgaria’s new finance minister Simeon Djankov has his country is in November set to apply to join the euro exchange-rate mechanism, the ERM, which is the first step for any country wanting to join the eurozone.

Spain 2010 - New Standard Coins

In 2010, Spain will revise the design of its national sides in order to comply with the common guidelines recommended by the European Commission, as endorsed by the Council conclusions of 10 February 2009. The new national sides will continue to bear the same effigy of His Majesty King Juan Carlos I, but the date of issuance will now feature in the inner part of the coin, together with the mintmark and the name of the issuing country. Spain 2010 - €2CC Cordoba's Historic Centre

The coin commemorates the first Spanish site – the historical centre of Cordoba – to be included in the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1984. It portrays the ‘forest of pillars' of the Great Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, one of the greatest and oldest examples of Islamic art in Europe.
