This page is about the common issue of 2 euro commemorative coin dedicated to the 10th Year of Euro Banknotes and Coins. There will be 3 stages of this page;
Stage 1 : Helping Designers sending their best designs. Non- designers can give suggestions and also indicate what they wish to see on this coin so could give designers ideas (more details below)
Stage 2 : This is about the actual voting of the best design which will be selected by the European Citiziens (more details below)
Stage 3 : Once the design is selected, the actual minting of the coin will start. The coin will be released by all the 17 euro area countries, thus, we will have 17 variants of this design. During this stage we will bring you all the news related to the issue volume, images, issue dates .... country by country

Stage 3
Now that the design has been selected the actual minting of the coins will start. Each eurozone country is responsible for the minting of its coins and they will mint different amounts from each other depending on their populations. The European Commission dropped the designs submitted by the euro area citizens to five. Same citizens had the chance to vote for the best design which ultimately will be minted on the coins. The online voting was between the 6th and 24th June.

Stage 1 - Now Closed
The European Commission announced an open competition to design the €2 commemorative coin that will be out next year in all the euro area states. Only 1 design per designer will be accepted. Thereby we are opening this page to help designers submitting their best design. Designers can open topics with their designs and ask members to share their opinion. Designers with more than 1 design can ask members to help them choose the best design. Non-designers can participate by giving suggestions how this coin should look like and also buy giving opinions on the designs submitted. Post here;
