Welcome to the tutorial!

In the next minutes you will learn how to configure the SME software to manage your collection as best as possible. You will find out how to limit the displayed coins and variants exactly to your needs.

Happily, configuration is easy. There are just two steps to do:

Step 1: Choose the countries!
Please go to the Settings tab and open the Country Settings dialog by clicking on the Country Settings button. Choose the countries which should be included in your collection and save your choice by clicking on the OK button.

Step 2: Choose the coins or variants!
On the Settings tab please open the Coin Settings dialog by clicking on the Coin Settings button. In the dialog you will find two sections, General Settings on the left hand side and Additional Settings on the right hand side. We will start on the left hand side. Here you can choose to hide all nominals (i. e. 1 cent to 2 euro) which should not be displayed in your collection. There is also a special option for coins which were not issued for circulation. Check this option if you are only collection circulation coins.
If you want to exclude single coins or variants from your collection, please check the option on the right hand side. You will then find a table in which you can choose all the coins or variants you want to exclude from your collection. When finished click on the OK button to save your settings.
That's all.

Here are some examples to demonstrate the use of the new feature:

Example 1 "I am a 2 Euro coin collector":
Step 1: Open the Country Settings dialog and choose all countries to be included in your collection.
Step 2: Open the Coin Settings dialog and configure it as shown in this picture:

Example 2 "I am collecting everything but the expensive 2 Euro Grace Kelly coin":
Step 1: Open the Country Settings dialog and choose all countries to be included in your collection.
Step 2: Open the Coin Settings dialog and configure it as shown in this picture:
